Pamela Bach says keeping ex-husband David Hasselhoff’s alcoholism a secret was the “glue” holding their family together. Hasselhoff filed for divorce in January 2006 shortly after Bach left for their Christmas vacation without him because he was reportedly too drunk to board the flight. Bach admits she often took the couple’s two daughters away from Hasselhoff in a bid to convince him to get sober.In an interview with Hello! magazine, she said, “We went home without him and when he got back we didn’t see him. She said, “I asked around for a good attorney. I wasn’t going to get a divorce, I just wanted to get educated. Then I got a call saying David’s filing for divorce. It was like he wanted to beat me to it, even though I wasn’t at that point.” Despite their bitter split, Bach has admitted she will always love Hasselhoff. She said, “In divorce you can’t talk. You communicate through lawyers. But I still love him, and always will. This is not doomsday for me. This is the beginning for me. I wish him the best.”

Although Lindsay Lohan went to rehab and is a member of Alcoholics Anonymous, Svedka vodka has agreed to sponsor her 21st birthday party in Las Vegas in July. Along with sponsors, Pure nightclub and Caesars Palace, Lohan is set to earn in upwards on seven figures for her appearance at the party. In the world of celebrity events, Las Vegas nightclubs have been known to offer up to $400,000 to land a top name to host an event. Her representative said, “I am unaware of who is sponsoring Lindsay’s birthday, as I am not the one planning it.” But Lohan’s lawyer Mike Heller confirmed the vodka deal. “This should be one of the best parties ever.”

Mischa Barton and Victoria Silvstedt had a dramatic confrontation at a lavishCannes party.They arrived at the exclusive bash thrown by jewelers De Grisogono at Hotel du Cap’s Eden Roc club together, but tempers soon flared.Barton was reportedly unimpressed with Victoria following her around and tried to shake her off, but her attempts did not go unnoticed by Silvstedt. Courtney Love has blasted footwear giant Dr. Martens for featuring her late husband Kurt Cobain in a recent advertisement. The campaign, which only appears in Britain, shows the Nirvana legend sitting on a cloud while wearing an angelic robe, with the words ‘Dr. Martens Forever’ in the picture. Love disapproves of the advertisement and has lashed out at the company. Her representative said: “Courtney had no idea this was taking place and would never have approved it. She thinks it’s outrageous that a company is allowed to commercially gain from such a despicable use of her husband’spicture.”Loves’ representative added: “It does appear that in Britain, what Dr. Martens has done is allowed. Courtney did not, and would not, approve of such a use of Kurt’s name and likeness.” Cobain committed suicide at his Seattle, Washington home in 1994. Cobain is not the only dead rock star featured in the campaign. Sid Vicious from The Sex Pistols and Joey Ramone from The Ramones also appear in separate ads.

Brittany Murphy is rumored to have married British screenwriter Simon Monjack to stop him being deported from the US. According to reports, Monjack was arrested on expired visa charges in the middle of the night on in March, just weeks before the couple’s secret wedding. A source claimed: “Brittany knew nothing about any of that.” Monjack’s lawyer said: “These charges are being made by disgruntled ex-girlfriends and immigration officials have concluded the marriage had no bearing on my client’s visa status.” The couple, who began dating last year, married at their Los Angeles home in front of close family and friends last month.Murphy’s representative said: “They were married at their home in Los Angeles several weeks ago in a very intimate ceremony. Keira Knightley has settled a lawsuit against a British tabloid for $6,000 in damages, after the newspaper accused her of denying she had an eating disorder. Earlier this year, the Daily Mail published a photograph of Knightly on the beach with an accompanying article commenting on her slender figure. Knightley began legal action against the newspaper in January, claiming the article was libelous because it implied she had been dishonest about suffering from anorexia.She has frequently been forced to deny she has an eating disorder, and recently admitted the accusations have left her “completely devastated.” In the suit, Knightley also challenged the positioning of the story, published beside an article about a girl who died from anorexia, because it suggested she was responsible for the teen’s death by setting a bad example. Following the ruling, Knightly said she would donate the money to charity.

Lindsay Lohan was allegedly thrown out of New York’s Soho Grand hotel for arguing with apparent ex-boyfriend Calum Best.Lohan, who recently returned from a romantic Bahamian vacation with the notorious lothario, threw a tantrum when Best checked into the hotel with another woman. A source claims: “Lindsay checked in with another guy, probably to try and make Calum jealous. She tried calling him but she couldn’t get through.” Lohan, who was treated for alcoholism in rehab earlier this year, then partied until 1:30am before collapsing in the hotel lobby. A source said: “She was writhing on the floor and everyone could see that she wasn’t wearing any panties. Her date and bodyguard looked horrified but they didn’t do a thing to help her so the night manager carried her to her room.” Lindsay then allegedly kept phoning Calum’s room and then went to bang on his door. A source said: “He came to the door and opened it a bit, she peeked inside and saw the woman there. She went cuckoo. Just days after Anne Heche’s estranged husband filed court documents alleging, among other things, that she is an unfit parent to the couple’s five-year-old son, Heche has fired back with a few stunning allegations of her own. According to documents filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Heche alleges that rather than being ‘Mr. Mom,’ her estranged husband, Coley Laffoon “plays ping-pong, backgammon, poker, and views pornography online” all day while their son is at preschool or with nannies and babysitters. Heche also claims that when Laffoon came to visit her on the Vancouver set of ‘Men in Trees’ with their son, he “bragged to me and other cast members on the set about going to strip clubs and that he knew each joint in town.” Heche also says she was “surprised and disappointed” when Laffoon outlined an incident where he claimed she exhibited “bizarre and delusional” behavior. She says the truth is that it was Laffoon’s fault she was confused about where her connecting flight was, as he had “neglected to call or get a copy” of her flight itinerary as he had promised to do. Heche also claims that when she confronted Laffoon about the public accusations he was making and the negative press it was attracting, Laffoon responded, “Bring it on! Let the press come to our house! I welcome it!”

Paula Abdul spoke out for the first time since breaking her nose in a fall, revealing she also fractured her toe. Abdul, an ‘American Idol’ judge tripped over her pet Chihuahua at home and is now nursing a series of bumps, bruises and breaks. She says: “I took a nasty fall, trying not to hurt my dog. I tore cartilage. I bruised myself on my arm, that’s nothing, my chest, my waist all the way down to my hip. All from my little dog. I saw her. I just remember saying, ‘Oh my God, I’m going to do a face plant!’ It hurt so bad! I screamed like a little baby would scream. I fractured my toe as well.”

Ryan Phillippe wants joint custody of his children with Reese Witherspoon. Witherspoon filed for divorce in November, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split, and she asked for physical custody of the couple’s two young children. In the Superior Court divorce petition, Witherspoon asked for visitation for Phillippe and “exclusive use of the family residence.” In a response, Phillippe also cited “irreconcilable differences” but asked for joint legal custody and physical custody of the children as well as visitation granted “to both parties, equally allocated.” The documents filed with the court do not list separate or community property, saying the nature of the assets has yet to be determined. Witherspoon’s petition requested that the court not grant any spousal support to Phillippe. There was no request for support in Phillippe’s petition.

Katie Holmes is threatening legal action after a wannabe teenage porn star changed her name to Katee Holmes and wants to lose her virginity on camera as the start of her porn career.Holmes is upset by reports the 18-year-old is now going by an almost identical name. The 5′9″, 122 pound, blonde-haired, blue-eyed, “never-been-kissed” virgin from Illinois is launching her porn career under the name, Katee Holmes. A spokesperson for the original Katie Holmes says, “It’s a really cheap shot. Obviously Tom would support Katie in anything she decides to do about it.” Shy Love, a representative for fashion student Katee and an adult video veteran says, “the name alternation was done in homage to the wife of Tom Cruise.”"She says, “Katee is using the name as a tribute to Katie, who has always portrayed an innocence in everything she’s done, beginning with ‘Dawson’s Creek.’” A student at the Fashion Institute of Design in California, Katee, 18, says: “I know it’s pretty extreme to lose my virginity on camera, but I like the fulfillment and excitement I get from watching porn, so I figured a movie was the best place for me to lose it. How many people wished they could relive their first experience, if not to remember it but to learn from it, right?”

The Los Angeles County District Attorney has rejected a felony grand theft criminal complaint against Lindsay Lohan. Law enforcement sources say that in April, a woman filed a police report claiming she had left California for a while and let a friend stay in her apartment. She says when she returned, more than $5,000 worth of clothing was gone and she believed Lohan was the culprit. The LAPD referred the case to the District Attorney’s office. In the document rejecting the case, it says, “witnesses saw suspect Lohan give her driver a clear bag with some clothing to take to the car.” But there were several problems with the “victim’s” charges. The D.A.’s office says that pictures the alleged victim gave police showing Lohan wearing her clothing didn’t add up. For example, the plaid shirt she wore in a photo didn’t match the alleged victim’s plaid shirt.Witnesses also told police the person who was watching the alleged victim’s apartment gave Lohan some of the stuff, so there was no theft.

Jennifer Garner is hoping to launch a TV show especially geared for mothers. Garner and her friend Lauren Sanchez-Whitesell are currently pitching a series only described as ‘The View’ for mothers. Garner reportedly plans to talk about her marriage to Ben Affleck and their 17-month-old daughter, and will appear on the show regularly. Sanchez-Whitesell said: “We’re putting together a show for moms, by moms.”"We’re pitching it to a network. I call Jennifer the Barbara Walters of the show. She will come on periodically. We haven’t quite settled exactly how often, but she’s the executive producer.” Garner plans to give advice about how to maintain a successful marriage and will also speak about the pressures of living in the media spotlight in the as-yet unnamed series. Sanchez-Whitesell said: “Jen might talk about how you keep a marriage together when you’re in the spotlight with a child. She’s photographed picking up trash in her front yard, she’s photographed doing everything.”"We don’t have a name for the show yet. It’s still Jen Garner Untitled Project, but I think soon we’ll have more of an idea of where the show’s going.”

Britney Spears was booed by fans after being caught lip-synching during a supposedly “live” performance.Spears was performing at the House of Blues in Florida when technical glitches caused her backup CD to skip repeatedly, exposing her lip-synching. A source claims: “It was an ugly scene. The crowd started jeering and heckling her. Britney looked absolutely devastated.”"When the CD started skipping during the song ‘Do Somethin’,” Britney hid her face and turned her back. Then, when it resolved itself, she turned around with this look on her face like she was going to be sick.” Hundreds of fans had lined up for hours and spent as much as $500 a ticket to see the show. The appearance was part of a series of 15-minute concerts which have seen Spears perform live for the first time in three years under the pseudonym M+Ms. After the initial problem, Spears suffered further technical problems, which left her “rolling around on the floor with her headset broken.”

David Hasselhoff has reportedly won temporary custody of his two daughters in a closed door session.Hasselhoff went into court having been stripped of his right to visit with his children in the wake of the drunken burger eating video. But reportedly, the judge was stunned by the evidence presented by the court-appointed expert who performed psychological evaluations on the family. The expert said Pamela Bach, Hasselhoff’s ex, was abusive to her kids, especially the younger of the two daughters. The expert also noted that Bach refused drug testing, among many other things. Bach’s lawyer was on the defensive, unsuccessfully attacking the expert. Sources say the judge gave Hasselhoff full custody for two weeks, until the next hearing is held. Until then, the kids will live with him. A source says that Hasselhoff had his custody rights restored after agreeing to alcohol testing. The judge also temporarily stripped Bach of her custody rights.

Photographers at the Cannes Film Festival booed Pamela Anderson after she showed up late for a photo session and only stuck around to pose for a few minutes.
